launch checklist

The 10 questions every founder should answer before launching online

You’ve got the idea. The logo. Maybe even the product.

But if you’re about to launch online and you haven’t taken the time to zoom out and stitch the entire journey together?

You’re walking into chaos.

I say that from experience. I’ve launched my own brands, advised on dozens more, and one thing remains constant:

A disconnected launch leads to leaky systems, confused customers, and missed revenue.

Alex Hormozi bangs on about this a lot: “Most businesses don’t fail because of their product. They fail because of poor positioning, unclear messaging, and broken acquisition systems.”

Grace Beverley? Built an empire by obsessing over customer experience, brand storytelling, and frictionless purchase flows.

And in our work at Rewrite, we’ve seen first-hand how the best results come when every dot is connected. Not just design and copy. But automations, platforms, data, segmentation, follow-ups, lead capture, offer stacks, and post-purchase journeys.

Before you go live, ask yourself:

01. What exactly am I selling, and how does it solve a real problem?
If you can’t answer this clearly, your audience won’t either.

02. Who is this really for, and what do they already believe about this problem?
You’re not starting from scratch. You’re interrupting a belief system.

03. What’s my positioning in the market?
Cheapest? Premium? The anti-agency? The ethical one? If you don’t claim space, someone else will.

04. Can I clearly explain the transformation I’m offering?
Features tell. Outcomes sell.

05. Do my brand, tone, and visual identity match the level of my product?
Branding isn’t about a colour palette. It’s about congruence. Perception matters.

06. Is my tech stack doing the heavy lifting?
Emails, funnels, automations, checkout flows, is it all working seamlessly, or is it duct-taped together?

07. What happens after someone buys?
The post-purchase experience is where you earn retention and referrals.

08. Am I capturing and segmenting leads properly?
Not all leads are equal. Treating them like they are will cost you.

09. Do I have content planned that educates, builds trust, and sells?
Content isn’t just marketing. It’s infrastructure.

10. If this blows up tomorrow, is my business built to scale?
Most founders aren’t ready for their own success. Think ahead.

They make it easy for the right people to say yes.
